Mr Khoo Seow Hwa has made contributions in promoting Chinese culture outside China through practicing and teaching Chinese calligraphy. What makes him stand out is that he expounds calligraphic theories in easy-to-read-and-understand style in his books. He imbues his calligraphy lessons with poetry, music, painting, drama, martial art, nature and philosophy of life, thereby making his lessons interesting and amusing.
